Don't worry Teresa, right behind you. Considering this quiz dealt mostly in terminology I either completely spaced out on or we never learned getting a 25 out of 32 wasn't bad.
30 out of 32 and I'm a stay at home mom with no formal education beyond high school, don't feel bad though Mr. Blais I beat my husband too and he majored in Social Work and minored in criminal justice.
I got 26 out of 32. However, I believe there is something wrong with one or two of the questions.
A trial that becomes invalid because the judge believes fairness has been jeopardized or because the jury cannot agree on a verdict Your Answer: retrial Correct Answer: mistrial
A trial that is invalid because of an error in procedure is an 'mistrial'. If a trial is invalid due to have been improper or 'unfair' due to procedural errors, the judge would order a retrial.
And question 27) A trial in which the two opposing sides argue before an unbiased jury and a neutral judge
Correct Answer: adversary proceeding
Adversary procceding are involving bankruptcy, someone is fighting with someone else in the bankruptcy court. There are three parties in the bankruptcy court case who can file an adversary proceeding–bringing someone in front of a judge to explain their actions in a hearing or a trial.
There are other questions which are a bit 'dodgy', but I ll leave them.
