Got 30 out of 32 I got this one wrong

4) A sworn statement, filed by a prosecutor after a preliminary hearing, that there is enough evidence to take an accused person to trial
Your Answer: deposition
Correct Answer: information

Thought that in class we said that it was a deposition and therefore I also got this one wrong too

19) A formal interview given by a witness under oath before a trial is held
Your Answer: interview
Correct Answer: deposition

My first time around I recieved a 75% (24/32) and i thought some of the questions could have worded differently, but it was a cool test

Don't worry Teresa, right behind you. Considering this quiz dealt mostly in terminology I either completely spaced out on or we never learned getting a 25 out of 32 wasn't bad.

I got 26 out of 32. However, I believe there is something wrong with one or two of the questions.

A trial that becomes invalid because the judge believes fairness has been jeopardized or because the jury cannot agree on a verdict
Your Answer: retrial
Correct Answer: mistrial

A trial that is invalid because of an error in procedure is an 'mistrial'. If a trial is invalid due to have been improper or 'unfair' due to procedural errors, the judge would order a retrial.

And question 27) A trial in which the two opposing sides argue before an unbiased jury and a neutral judge

Correct Answer: adversary proceeding

Adversary procceding are involving bankruptcy, someone is fighting with someone else in the bankruptcy court. There are three parties in the bankruptcy court case who can file an adversary proceeding–bringing someone in front of a judge to explain their actions in a hearing or a trial.

There are other questions which are a bit 'dodgy', but I ll leave them.
